Poster for the 14th Exhibition at the Vienna Secession
1902
From January 9th to April 30th, 2023, Egon Schiele's "Self-Portrait with Chinese Lantern Plant" and other works from the Leopold Museum will not be on display in Vienna due to an extensive Schiele exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. It is the largest Schiele exhibition in Asia in 30 years. Until April 30th, the Leopold Museum is therefore showing outstanding paintings by Hans Makart and Richard Gerstl as well as numerous works on paper by Egon Schiele from its own collection in the permanent presentation “VIENNA 1900. Birth Of Modernism”, which have been expanded by top-class loans.
