In this exhibition, conceived as a dialogue, the works of the Austrian painter Herbert Boeckl (1894–1966) and of the Swiss sculptor Hans Josephsohn (1920–2012) are juxtaposed for the first time. Featuring more than 80 paintings, sculptures and works on paper, Herbert Boeckl – Hans Josephsohn. Figural Archetypes addresses the subjects of form, figure, material accumulation and human existence in an exciting exhibition.
