Gustav Klimt’s oeuvre marks the transition from Historicism to Jugendstil and shaped the beginning of modern art in Austria. 100 years after his death, the Leopold Museum dedicated a comprehensive exhibition to this figurehead of Vienna 1900. Featuring around 30 paintings, 100 drawings, 30 photographs and approximately 150 archival documents across four exhibition rooms, it presented all the periods of the artist’s oeuvre.
