THE KLEWAN COLLECTION AND THE EXHIBITION

With the exhibition The Gaze from the Frame. The "Klewan Collection" Donation, the Leopold Museum is presenting select works from the generous donation, comprising some 350 works, made by the passionate art collector, long-standing gallery owner and publisher Helmut Klewan. Over a period of more than 40 years, he compiled hundreds of writers’ portraits in a comprehensive collection. The compilation predominantly features works on paper but also includes works that were created using different media and techniques, ranging from etchings to photographs.
