„The coffee house saves us a home.“ What the writer and legendary „roving reporter“ Egon Erwin Kisch so pointedly ascribed to Prague bohemians three quarters of a century ago still holds true today: the coffee house as a living metaphor for an original middle-European concept of urbanity which unfolds in a coquettish interplay between „public“ and "private", worldliness and intimacy, tradition and modernity. The classic coffee house has always claimed to be a retreat and a marketplace in one, an anchorage for habitués and house of passage for city flaneurs, an „extended living room“ as well as the incursion of the street into the home.

Our culinaric Offer
Beginning with breakfast variations from Vienna and from around the world to freshly prepared urban meals, as well as a comprehensive coffee and drinks menu. Our lunch menu changes daily.

And once the touristic frenzy of activity of the day recedes and the night owls take over, the Café Leopold turns into a Bar. A DJ-Line operates on a regular basis and at periodical concerts contemporary urban sense of music expresses itself apart from mainstream trivialities.
